Newfield Lioness Club
The
Newfield Lioness Club is a nonprofit organization that was sponsored by the
Newfield Lions Club in November of 1980.
Our goal is to help people in our community with eye and hearing
problems. We also help the Newfield
community by donating all of our funds back to the community.
We hold several fundraisers
throughout the year. Below is a list of
some of our donations and functions:
a) Provide a scholarship to a graduating senior, to help with college
expenses
b) Send a child from our area, to the Empire State Speech and Hearing
Clinic in Spencer. This is a 6-week
learning camp for children with disabilities.
c)
Provide for eye exams and/ or eyeglasses for
Newfield residents in need.
d) Road clean up
e)
Easter bunny breakfast and pictures with the Easter
bunny
f)
Holiday Craft fair and pictures with Santa
g) Newfield Rec. program
h) Risk watch program at the school
i)
Good neighbor program
j) Free dinner for Newfield Seniors
j)
Newfield and West Danby Fire Companies
k) St.Patricks day dinner
l)
Many others!
This is a small list of what
we do and what we are about.
Our meeting place is the
White House Inn, in the smoke-free meeting room. We meet at 7pm every 2nd and 4th Monday of
the month from September through June.
We are always looking for
new members. Anyone interested can call
